Description
White Satin melamine edge banding is a paper-based edging with a melamine surface, the same surface used on melamine board. It is matched to White Satin melamine board, so a banded edge carries the colour, texture and sheen of the panel face and wears the same way in use.
The smooth, low sheen melamine surface is hard-wearing, and it seals the raw edge of MDF and particleboard. Its thin profile sits tight to the panel, follows a gentle curve and leaves almost no lip to catch.
It is supplied pre-glued with a heat-activated adhesive, which suits one-off pieces, repairs and site work. It is well suited to shelving, carcase interiors and wardrobe internals.

Recommended Application: For finishing panel edges on MDF, particleboard and plywood. Suited to shelving, carcase interiors, wardrobe internals and other lower-wear edges. For interior applications only.
Installation: Pre-glued edging is applied by hand rather than fed through an automatic edge bander, which lays its own adhesive. Bring the glue up with even, controlled heat along the full length of the band using a household iron or a hot air gun, press the band down firmly with a block or roller while it is still warm, and let it cool before trimming the excess with a sharp trimmer or knife. Ease the trimmed edge lightly to finish.
Performance: A hard-wearing melamine surface, the same surface carried on the panel face, so a banded edge wears and cleans like the board itself. Resists everyday scuffing and marking on shelving, carcase and cabinetry edges.
Wet Area Suitability: Suited to dry interior environments. The paper base can absorb moisture over time, so it is not recommended for wet areas or edges in prolonged contact with water. Seal all edges and joins where humidity is expected.
Care & Maintenance: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. Avoid prolonged water contact, direct heat and strong UV light to prevent discolouration.
Important information:
Colour matching: The edging carries the same melamine surface as the board face and is matched to the same décor, but colour, texture and gloss can still vary between production runs and between manufacturers. Images and samples should be used as a general reference only. For strict colour matching, contact us before placing your order.
Edge durability: The decorative surface is a thin applied layer. A knock to a finished edge can expose the paler paper base beneath, and a damaged run is best repaired by replacing the full strip rather than patching it.
Storage: Store rolls flat in a dry area away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep rolls out of direct heat until you are ready to apply them.
