LETO™ Narrow Grain Carbonised Bamboo Veneer on Black MDF is a natural bamboo veneer panel, manufactured by pressing a 0.6mm 100% bamboo veneer onto a black MDF substrate, available in a range of thicknesses.
The narrow grain pattern features thin, uniform strips of bamboo laid side by side, creating a clean, linear appearance with a fine, consistent texture, while the carbonised finish delivers rich, warm amber tones achieved through a heat treatment process that darkens the bamboo's natural colour.
The black MDF substrate provides a smooth, consistent base with excellent machining properties and black colouring throughout, allowing edges to be left exposed in select applications, ideal for routing, shaping, and edge profiling in cabinetry, furniture, wall cladding, joinery, and decorative panel applications. Panels are supplied raw and unsanded; all faces should be lightly sanded and sealed after cutting or trimming to avoid moisture loss or gain. Suitable for interior use only.

Finish & sealing: Supplied as unsanded raw veneer. A light sand with 240 grit, then 400+ grit is recommended before finishing. Water-borne finishes are recommended. Note that the first coat will raise the grain and requires light sanding before applying subsequent coats. No flammable sealants or solvents may be used as these will attack the adhesive binders, causing surface splitting and degradation. All faces must be sealed after cutting or trimming to avoid moisture loss or gain.
Recommended application: Furniture, cabinets, bench tops, walls, ceilings, joinery and more. Interior use only.

- Bamboo veneer panels are inherently subject to bowing, cupping, or warping, and may change colour when exposed to UV light. Read our wood-based panel specifications to understand tolerances and protection methods.
- Bamboo veneer can vary in colour and grain pattern between batches. Images and samples should be used as a general reference only. If matching is important for your project, let us know before ordering - we can supply from the same batch and arrange a sample for approval.
