Shipping policy

Shipping Timeframes

At checkout, you'll receive an estimated shipping timeframe based on your location and shipping method. Please note that processing lead times are not included in these estimates. Please refer to our Lead Time information for more detail.

Local Delivery (Trade Customers within 100 km of Somerton):
Once your order is in stock or manufactured, you can expect to receive it within 1–3 working days.

Nominated Freight Handlers:
We endeavour to ship to your nominated drop-off point within 48 hours of your order being in stock or manufactured.

Order Tracking:
Where possible, we'll provide a tracking code once your delivery is scheduled. This allows you to plan effectively and be ready when your panels arrive. Please note, order tracking is not available with all carriers.

Delivery Options & Requirements

Trade Delivery (with Forklift)

To qualify for trade delivery rates, you must receive goods with:

  • A forklift available for unloading
  • A commercial address with a loading dock or delivery drop-off area that is free from obstruction
  • Access for a large delivery vehicle (minimum 4-tonne)

If a forklift is not available at your commercial premises, please notify Bord Products immediately as 'Hand Unload' fees apply.

Standard Delivery (Residential & Light Commercial)

We deliver to residential and light commercial addresses via kerbside drop-off. Your location must meet the following requirements:

Access Requirements:

  • Accessible by a minimum 4-tonne delivery vehicle
  • Safe truck parking space (please reserve spaces on busy roads)
  • Clear 5m × 3m unloading space next to the delivery vehicle

We cannot deliver to properties with:

  • Steep hills
  • Gravel or unsealed roads
  • Narrow laneways
  • Restricted access

Hand Unload Requirements

For deliveries requiring hand unloading (residential or commercial without forklift):

  • At least 2 able-bodied persons must be present to assist with unloading
  • Individual panels can weigh over 65 kg
  • Use proper lifting techniques: bend at the knees and keep your back straight
  • Customers are responsible for safe handling throughout the entire delivery and unloading process

If, in the opinion of Bord Products or our transport contractor, the delivery cannot be safely unloaded, additional costs for re-scheduling your delivery may apply at the sole discretion of Bord Products.

Delivery Terms

Unless otherwise agreed, Bord Products or its transport contractor shall deliver Goods to the Customer as follows:

Delivery Hours:
Delivery will be made during Working Hours (between 7.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) to the location agreed by the parties ("Delivery Point").

Drop Spot:
Bord Products or its transport contractor will deliver the Goods as close to the Delivery Point as, in the opinion of Bord Products or its transport contractor, it is safe or prudent to do so ("Drop Spot"). Risk in the Goods passes to the Customer when Bord Products or its transport contractor's delivery vehicle arrives at the Drop Spot.

Unloading Responsibility:
The unloading of Goods at a Drop Spot is the Customer's responsibility at its own cost and risk. Bord Products or its transport contractor may, without liability to Bord Products, unload the Goods at the Drop Spot if the Customer requests Bord Products or its transport contractor to do so or is absent from the Drop Spot at the time Bord Products or its transport contractor wishes to unload and the Customer releases and forever discharges Bord Products and its transport contractor from and against any claim, cause of action or liability arising out of the unloading of Goods at the Drop Spot.

Risk Transfer:
The Goods are at the Customer's risk from the time at which they are delivered to the Customer or its nominee.

Driver Limitations:
Our drivers are focused on getting your panels to you safely but cannot help with unloading. This policy is in place for occupational health and safety reasons. Our drivers' expertise is in transport and logistics - your team will need to handle the unloading at the drop spot.

Absence or Unsafe Delivery:
If the Customer is absent from the Delivery Point at the time of delivery and/or delivery cannot be completed safely, additional costs for re-scheduling your delivery may apply at the sole discretion of Bord Products.

Preparing for Your Delivery

Unloading Space

Prepare a minimum receiving area of 5m × 3m (15m²) next to our delivery vehicle. This provides adequate room to safely manoeuvre panels. The space must be clean, flat, and dry to prevent damage.

Panels must be received kerbside - plan to move your panels to their final location after our driver departs.

Safety Guidelines

  • Have at least 2 people available for hand unloading
  • Ensure proper lifting equipment or personnel are ready
  • Clear the unloading area of obstacles
  • Be present at the scheduled delivery time

Being present for your scheduled delivery and ensuring safe unloading conditions prevents unnecessary rescheduling fees.

Packaging Removal

All packaging materials must be taken with your order. Please dispose of or recycle these materials responsibly. We're committed to environmental sustainability and appreciate your cooperation in managing packaging waste properly.

Defects & Force Majeure

Partial Orders:
No defect or claim in respect of Goods delivered shall entitle the Customer to reject delivery of other Goods, which are not subject to any defect or claim, delivered as part of the order.

Force Majeure:
If Bord Products is prevented either directly or indirectly from performing any of its obligations under these Conditions, including without limitation, making a delivery of the Goods or any part of the Goods by reason of Force Majeure it shall be entitled, at its option, by notice to the Customer, either to:
