Tasmanian Oak natural feature grade timber veneer is manufactured from thin slices of sustainably sourced timber. The veneer displays colours ranging from cream and straw through to reddish-brown with pink undertones, with natural variation between Alpine Ash, Mountain Ash, and Messmate components, sound knots, gum veins, and mineral streaks.

Natural feature grade includes the authentic characteristics of the timber species - sound knots, colour variation, mineral streaks, and natural markings. These features are part of the grade specification and contribute to the veneer's natural appearance. Each sheet will display unique variations while maintaining consistent quality standards.

This cross grain product has the veneer grain running horizontally across the sheet width. This orientation is specifically designed for drawer fronts, overhead cabinetry, and short-span applications where horizontal grain alignment is required. The cross grain configuration helps minimise visible joins in continuous cabinet runs.

The veneer is professionally laid on plywood, providing structural strength with attractive birch edges that can remain exposed. The substrate ensures dimensional stability and consistent thickness for furniture and cabinetry applications.

Supplied raw and unsanded. Requires sanding and finishing with a UV-resistant clear coat, oil, varnish, stain, or wax to protect the timber and enhance its natural appearance.

Manufactured by Bord Products to Australian quality standards, with consistent thickness and reliable performance for professional furniture makers, cabinet makers, and architectural fitout specialists.

Important notice: All wood-based panels are by nature potentially subject to bowing, cupping or warping following application of timber veneer. Read our panel manufacturing guidelines to learn more.
