LETO™ Narrow Grain Natural Bamboo Veneer on Laminate is a flexible, 1.6mm bamboo veneer laminate, manufactured by pressing a 0.6mm natural timber veneer onto a 1mm white laminate backing, resulting in a flexible sheet designed for pressing onto flat surfaces and gentle curves.
The narrow grain pattern features thin, uniform strips of bamboo laid side by side, creating a clean, linear appearance with a fine, consistent texture. The natural colour delivers warm, light tones that add a touch of natural beauty to any space.
Its flexible laminate backing allows it to be cold pressed onto flat and gently curved substrates including MDF, plywood, or other rigid materials using cross-linked PVA adhesive, making it suitable for curved joinery, furniture components, and decorative surfaces. A minimum 600mm bending radius is recommended.
Made from 100% bamboo with non-toxic adhesives, this veneer is suitable for interior cabinetry, furniture, wall cladding, joinery, and decorative panel applications.

Characteristics: Tight-knit, linear grain with small visible notches in a natural straw colour.
Thickness: 1.6mm total (0.6mm single ply bamboo veneer on 1mm white laminate backing)
Curve radius: Suitable for gentle curves with a minimum recommended bending radius of 600mm. Attempting tighter bends may cause cracking or surface damage and should only be undertaken with thorough testing at the purchaser's risk.
Finish & sealing: Supplied as unsanded raw veneer. A light sand with 240 grit, then 400+ grit is recommended before finishing. Do not heavily sand 0.6mm bamboo veneer on laminate backing. Water-borne finishes are recommended. Note that the first coat will raise the grain and requires light sanding before applying subsequent coats. No flammable sealants or solvents may be used as these will attack the adhesive binders, causing surface splitting and degradation.
Finishing recommendations: Allow at least 4 to 5 days between gluing and finishing to ensure all solvent residues from the adhesive have fully evaporated. This helps prevent issues with coating adhesion and finish quality.
Recommended application: Suitable for laminating onto most common wooden substrates. Ideal for doors, wall panels, furniture components, and gently curved surfaces. Not suitable for post-forming or direct application to solid wood. Interior use only.
Gluing: Must be cold pressed with cross-linked PVA adhesive (such as Titebond or Selleys Aquadhere). Use water-based, non-toxic adhesives. For large panels or table tops, apply bamboo to both sides of the substrate to create a balanced construction that prevents warping or twisting.

Important information:
- Bamboo veneer panels are inherently subject to bowing, cupping, or warping, and may change colour when exposed to UV light. Read our wood-based panel specifications to understand tolerances and protection methods.
- Bamboo veneer can vary in colour and grain pattern between batches. Images and samples should be used as a general reference only. If matching is important for your project, let us know before ordering - we can supply from the same batch and arrange a sample for approval.
