Low Density Fibreboard or LDF, is a lightweight and cost-effective material that is perfect for a variety of applications. Made from wood fibres that have been combined with resin and wax, LDF is a uniform board that is easy to cut, shape, and sand.

Low Density Fibreboard is an excellent choice for use in applications where weight is a concern, such as in the manufacture of lightweight furniture, decorative panels, and display materials. Its lightweight nature also makes it an ideal choice for use in the construction of trade show exhibits, museum exhibits, and other displays that need to be transported and assembled easily.

Despite its low density, Low Density Fibreboard provides excellent dimensional stability and strength. It also has a smooth, even surface that makes it ideal for painting, veneering, or laminating to create a beautiful finished product.

Important notice: All wood-based panels are by nature potentially subject to bowing, cupping or warping following application of timber veneer. Read our panel manufacturing guidelines to learn more.
