Description
Austral Plywoods high-quality Australian Araucaria (Hoop Pine) Plywood features a smooth, blonde finish and is manufactured from sustainably sourced timber grown in internationally certified plantations in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
Manufactured by with an "A" grade face and "C" grade back, Araucaria (Hoop Pine) Plywood uses an "A" bond glue system backed by a 25-year warranty. It meets Super E0 formaldehyde emissions standards and holds AS/NZS 2271:2004, EWPAA JAS-ANZ, and RW/PEFC Environmental Certification. The product is available in thicknesses ranging from 1.5mm to 30mm and is supplied unfinished.
Austral Araucaria (Hoop Pine) Plywood is suitable for semi-exposed applications when properly finished, making it ideal for wall and ceiling linings and interior joinery.
Note that Austral Araucaria (Hoop Pine) Plywood is not recommended for fully exposed applications such as exterior cladding, as this may result in surface checking or crazing due to moisture absorption and desorption.

Finishing: This plywood is supplied unfinished. For best results, use water-based finishes. Livos Australia stains are the only approved oil-based products - other oil-based stains will damage the surface. Not suitable for exposed exterior applications.

Important notice: As a natural wood product, plywood can be affected by ambient conditions and may bow. Sheets are flat at dispatch but must be fastened promptly to maintain flatness. This is particularly important for non-fastened cabinet doors.
