Tasmanian Oak veneer mismatched is a custom natural wood product, made from thin slices of timber sourced from sustainably managed forests.

Tasmanian Oak displays varied grain patterns with moderate ray fleck typical of eucalyptus species, with colours ranging from cream and straw through to reddish-brown with frequent pink tones. Combines characteristics of Alpine Ash, Mountain Ash, and Messmate creating harmonious but varied patterns.

Mismatched veneers combine varying grain patterns and tones to create a more natural, varied appearance that mimics the look of individual solid timber boards assembled together.

The mismatched veneer process combines different veneer leaves that may include various cuts (quarter cut, crown cut, or other variations) arranged to customer specifications. Unlike book or slip matched veneers that create uniform patterns, mismatched veneers intentionally vary the grain patterns, creating a 'board-by-board' effect ideal for contemporary architectural joinery projects.

This custom veneer is professionally laid on MDF, providing a smooth, consistent base with excellent machining properties. The substrate ensures dimensional stability and consistent thickness for furniture making, architectural fitouts, and interior applications.

This XL sheet measures 3600mm x 1200mm, exclusively available to trade customers for large-scale projects requiring minimal joins.

Each mismatched panel is custom manufactured to your specifications. Supplied raw and unsanded, requiring sanding and sealing with a UV-resistant clear coat, oil, varnish, stain, or wax to protect and enhance the timber's natural appearance.
