Veneered Tasmanian Oak Quarter On Birch Plywood is a premium quality plywood panel that offers both durability and aesthetic appeal. The plywood is constructed by bonding high-quality Tasmanian Oak Quarter veneer on top of a sturdy birch plywood core, ensuring strength and stability. The quarter-cut veneer provides a unique and striking appearance with its characteristic straight grain pattern, while the birch plywood core adds strength and stability to the panel.

The plywood's downgrade back, or DGB, is a cost-effective solution for applications that require the panel's backside to be of lower grade than the front. This means that while the front side is of the highest quality, the back side may contain minor blemishes, knots, or patches. This makes it an excellent choice for applications where the back of the panel will not be visible or require a high-quality finish.

With its beautiful Tasmanian Oak Quarter veneer, this plywood is an ideal choice for interior applications that require a natural and warm aesthetic. It is commonly used for cabinetry, furniture, wall panelling, and other decorative applications. The panel is also pre-sanded and ready for staining or painting to match your project's specific requirements.

Important notice: All wood-based panels are by nature potentially subject to bowing, cupping or warping following application of timber veneer. Read our panel manufacturing guidelines to learn more.

Important notice

Plywood is a natural wood product that can be affected by ambient weather conditions which may cause sheets to bow. At Bord, all precautions are taken to ensure flatness at time of dispatch. Once plywood has left our factory we cannot guarantee sheets will remain flat unless fastened. This is particularly important for non-fastened cabinet doors.

About Veneered Plywood

Timber veneer is thin slices of wood that are generally glued on to panels, called substrates, in a pattern to create flat sheets. These veneer sheets come pre-glued to a birch plywood substrate. Plywood is a man-made product, made by glueing thin layers of wood veneer together. Veneered plywood is typically used for joinery or furniture making. As one of the leading commercial veneer and plywood suppliers in Melbourne and Australia, we pride ourselves on being experts in panel products and can provide professional advice to ensure you have the right product for the job.
